Every grade also pays a compulsory capital development fee of R100 a month (not included in school fees) and a once-off concert fee of R550 by 30 April 2027. Compulsory tests: Grade 6 Core Skills test R282, Grade 7 MATCH test R366, Grade 9 SST English test R282 and aptitude test about R450. Tuition for new enrolments in 2027 starts at R2 350 a month for Grade RR and goes up to R7 200 a month for Grade 11. Grade R is R3 300 a month, Grade 1 to 9 is between R5 700 and R5 900 a month, and Grade 10 is R7 100 a month. To compare every grade, choose “All grades” in the fee finder above.
No. You choose one way to pay tuition: monthly (12 payments, by the 3rd of each month), twice a year (in January and June), or once a year (by 3 January 2027). Each option covers the full year's tuition.
Yes. Paying once a year saves R1 400 (Grade RR) to R4 400 (Grade 11) compared with paying monthly. Paying twice a year saves R700 to R2 200.
Yes. Qualifying families with more than one child at SCA get a 2.5% family discount on monthly tuition fees. It doesn't apply to registration or re-registration fees, levies or other charges.
Monthly fees are paid in advance, on or before the 3rd of each month. Pay by EFT into the school's bank account, or use the secure Netcash payment link the school provides. Your fee statement shows the banking details and your payment reference, or ask the Finance Department. Always use the correct reference so your payment is allocated to your account.
The registration package costs R4 300 to R5 500, depending on the grade, and is paid when you register. It includes registration and the annual copying fee, plus uniform items for most grades: two T-shirts (Grade RR–6), a tie (Grade 8–9) or a shirt (Grade 10–11). For Grade RR and R it also includes Make & Bake, stationery packs and workbooks.
From Grade 1, textbooks and exercise books are a separate payment, due by 30 November 2026. They cost R3 250 (Grade 1–3), R3 600 (Grade 4–6), R5 500 (Grade 7), R6 400 (Grade 8), R6 700 (Grade 9), R7 600 (Grade 10) and R7 800 (Grade 11). For Grade RR and R, workbooks are included in the registration package.
Yes, for Grade RR to Grade 6. Aftercare costs R880 a month and includes school-holiday care, except in December.
Fees are reviewed once a year as part of the school's budget and approval process. The review considers inflation and running costs, staff salaries and keeping qualified teachers, learning resources and technology, the upkeep, security and development of the campuses, and the school's long-term sustainability. Parents are told the next year's fees in advance so they can plan.
